With the planet and ourselves currently being flooded with lots of light from the large amounts of solar flares and geomagnetic storms in the Cosmos, we know from recent months that these energies and upgrades to our system can cause us to feel a little 'wonky', disorientated, unwell or overwhelmed.
These ‘Ascension Symptoms’ as they are commonly known as, are manifestations of energetic changes that are being created in our bodies, as we absorb higher vibrational light and frequencies into our beings.
This infusion of light is creating a large-scale purification process on Earth that is affecting all of us – activating this light within our subtle energy bodies and our physical bodies through our 12+ chakra system.
As light moves through our bodies, it infuses the chakras, subtle bodies and the cells and catalyses a process of healing and purification, which causes the chakras and the tissues to release any blocked and stagnant lower energies.
We may experience aches, pains, feelings, or memories rising into our consciousness as these old energies are released. Some symptoms come and go very quickly, some are last a little longer.
Some example symptoms are listed below - please bear in mind that these symptoms can also be indicators of illness, rather than Ascension, so please consult a trusted health professional if you are concerned about what you are experiencing in your body.
Unusual aches and pains
We will all experience this process in different ways at different times, according to our own needs and individual chakra and energy systems – so please be allowing of your own natural flow.
In my experience there are two types or stages to this influx of energy – either releasing/clearing or upgrading/activating – with these stages sometimes flowing into one another quite quickly:
Clearing / Releasing – sleepy, grumpy, off balance, chaotic, flu, nausea, exhausted
Upgrading / Activating – disorientated, spacey, headaches but feeling brighter, more alive and alert
Grounding is absolutely key to both stages and process – we need to be able to ground in these higher vibrational frequencies into our bodies and into the earth. Therefore it is important to do this often and whenever you are feeling a little wonky, disorientated, spacey, dizzy or suffering from headaches.
I always start and end my day with grounding then add it in whenever I need it throughout the day. I also protect my energies daily, given how energetically intense our environments are – imagining oneself in a bubble of pure white light, with a mirrored sphere surrounding it to repel and lower energies, so that only love and light can pass through, really helps me.
Below are a list of my Go-To’s when I’m feeling out of sorts from these energies, as well as useful tips on how to manage your energy in general – again please seek professional medical advice if you are concerned about experiencing these energies, as not every symptom is from Ascension.
Visualisation: A simple way to ground is to close your eyes and take your attention to your feet and imagine roots spreading out to connect with the 5D crystalline earth grid and earth centre, feeling the connection to Mother Earth and sending the energies into the grid.
Crystals: Another way is to ground is to use crystals. Black Kyanite, Black Tourmaline, Black Obsidian, Smoky Quartz are all great grounding crystals to hold or have with you throughout the day. I often sit with these crystals on or between my feet when I need to ground. Selenite is great to help integrate and dissipate the intensity of these energies. You can use a Selenite wand to help push your aura back and sweep through the body to move the energies from top to bottom/head to ground.
Salt Baths: One of my absolute favourites! I feel like I could be a Patron Saint of Baths, given my love and daily ritual of them. Use either Epsom or Himalayan salt and allow yourself a minimum of 20 minutes to soak in it and allow the toxins and lower energies to release and be absorbed by the salt. Then have a shower to rinse through all of your energy bodies. You can also add in crystals and essential oils to the bath to help with something in particular – e.g. Lavender for calming. Oh and candles, a must!
White Ball Technique: If there is a lot of energy at your head, imagine a white ball of energy sitting there and then push/send it down through the body and through the feet and into Earth and see it connect with Mother Earth’s crystalline centre.
Nature – We all know this one quite well but don’t often do it. A walk in nature, (especially barefoot – though a little tricky for us in the UK currently), can do wonders. Making it a mindful walk, even better – allow yourself to notice the sounds in the park/wood/lake, then take note of the smells, the sights and feel the textures of the flora and fauna.
Breathwork – Breathe! Really breathe. Allow yourself to take deep, conscious belly breaths; from the bottom of your stomach to your collarbone and then release. Breathing in time to an imaginary painter going up and down a large wall with his brush is a simple way to calm the breathing, as well as counting up to 5 and down to 5.
Hydration – drink water and lots of it! It helps with the purification process. Your body will guide you here but usually it will be demanding larger consumption of pure, still water. It’s advisable to stay away from anything that dehydrates, such as alcohol.
Rest – your body will need more rest than usual, as it goes through this process, so schedule in and allow yourself regular rest periods. Try not to plan any strenuous tasks or demanding schedules. Just a 10 minute time out to rest can make a huge difference in your day. We can’t all lay-down during the day but it is highly recommended if possible, as it helps to release the energies that are processing through – this is why a lot of the ascension processing happens when we sleep.
Sunshine – after a period of cleansing and releasing, stepping into sunlight – even for a few moments – can be highly beneficial. I will start my day like this if the sun is out and allow myself to bathe in the light codes for a few minutes, whilst I do a grounding visualisation to connect source energy with earth.
Sleep – so crucial that we are allowing ourselves to get good quality sleep. Much of ascension processing happens at night when we relax and when we sleep. We may need to sleep longer, so allow yourself some early nights or longer lay-ins, should your body allow it. Anything that naturally helps enhance your sleep is beneficial at this time – e.g. sleep sprays, eye masks, good quality pillows, sleep music.
Tuning In - tuning in to the body and listening and feeling into what it wants and what it needs really helps. Be mindful of the effect that different foods, drinks, environments, and people have on your body. Some of these will change over time as your light body develops. Be willing to flow with the changes that happen in your body and in your daily habits. The important skill of listening to your body will guide you always!
Diet / Plant Based Foods - Once again, follow your body's inner wisdom here. The types of foods that are best for your unique body and energy system will vary depending on where you live, what season it is, what kind of vibrational atmosphere you live in, and what is happening in our own transformational process. You may find that there are significant changes to your appetite or cravings and that you seek more plant based foods. Whole, live food adds light, and life force energy to your body. Processed foods are heavier and do not contain so many of the nutrients we need, so you can support our body with natural and lighter foods the benefit from Mother Nature's dazzling array of healing enzymes, vitamins and minerals; which can accelerate your purification and transformation process.
Sound – sound is a naturally powerful and gentle way to restore harmony to the body when we’re feeling out of sorts. As we are vibrational beings, we are very receptive to the vibrational frequencies of sound. It’s my go-to tool for relaxation, calm and healing. Classic music, crystal singing bowls, chimes can all do wonders. Mantras and humming too. It is said that the word OM contains all of life’s vibrations, so slowly saying it and letting it vibrate the upper palette of the mouth and therefore the pineal gland can work wonders. As you delve further into sound you can start to select the frequencies that your body or your specific chakras need. I often use the Solfeggio Frequencies to help balance my energies- playing them at a low tone in my bedroom when I sleep. The Solfeggio Frequencies make up the ancient 6-tone scale thought to have been used in sacred music, including the beautiful and well known Gregorian Chants. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony. Each Solfeggio tone is comprised of a frequency required to balance your energy and keep your body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony:
396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)
639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
741 Hz – Expression/Solutions
852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order
Each chakra and hormonal gland within the body also resonates to a specific note and frequency, which is why I use the Alchemy Crystal Singing bowls in my healing, as each bowl targets specific areas in the body, allowing healing, cleansing and activating to take place.
Dark Chocolate – at times of accelerated activations and upgrades, little squares of dark chocolate and really assist us. It is mood enhancing, contains a number of anti-oxidants Some of you will be aware of the rising popularity of Cacao Ceremonies – celebrating chocolate in a ritualistic way, just as the Ancient Mayans and Aztecs did. It is a powerful assister for ‘inner work’ for opening the heart space within us and helping us to move into higher consciousness.
Meditation – allowing yourself to go inwards to find your stillness and centre is highly recommended in helping anchor and integrate these energies. Meditation is a very simple, natural practice of focusing the mind's attention. This can be on the breath, or on a mantra (“Calm, I am calm” or chanting or on a candle or your body. A self-body scan can be very beneficial – closing your eyes and going through each part of the body to see how it feels and release and tension or discomfort that may be there. There are loads of guided meditations online that you can use if you find it tricky to meditate by yourself. A regular practice can transform your mental, physical and emotional health and wellbeing and allows you to access your own inner wisdom and consciousness.
Yoga/Exercise/Stretching/Dancing – if you are able, find a way to incorporate more movement. This shouldn’t be anything too strenuous but getting the body moving will help the flow of energies through and invigorate the body and consciousness – yoga, dancing, walking, swimming, running and pilates can all be very beneficial. There will be some days when you just ‘can't move’ and so you need to be gentle with yourself and allow your body to rest if it guides you so.
Essential Oils – used for centuries, plant-based essential oils provide the mind and body with numerous health benefits. Each essential oil comes with its own therapeutic benefits. Lavender is a great stress reliever and peppermint is a natural energy booster. You can keep these with your throughout the day and use them as you need to; selecting the ones you wish to do the specific healing that you wish to have. Doterra has a great range of essential oils, including blends that are carefully created for specific areas, issues and states of being.
Clearing Clutter – clearing clutter in the home, prevents the build up of energies in the home and allows it to flow freely – allowing you a supportive energetic environment to also release and allow you energies to flow. Look at ways to lighten the environment at home. Air out rooms and remove unnecessary objects if it feels needed – you may find that you want to change rugs, drapes, or upholstery in your environment, as fabrics can hold a great deal of energy, in order to help purify your space and anchor in more light.
Airing - Open the windows regularly to bring in fresh air, and to release old energies. You may find air purifiers helpful in more crowded places, or in the room where you sleep.
Chakra Work – if I feel a specific chakra needs special attention I will create practices to do targeted healing on myself. This may involve Reiki, the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, mantras and mudras, essential oils, crystals or colour therapy. When you drop into your body and do a body scan you can quickly tune in to and discomfort and find out what chakras would like you attention at that point
Reflection / Journaling - taking a step back when you feel emotionally uncomfortable and sitting with your Higher Self to ask questions to help you navigate your emotional system and find out what it wants to show you.
What is your Heart asking of you now?
What are is your Higher Selves requesting of you?
What is no longer serving me?
What am I carrying on behalf of others?
What am I consciously choosing to do /be/feel?
What are my choices and what is being imposed? And by whom and why?
What gives me Heart-based joy? Clarity? Calm? Support? And how can I do more of it?
Heart Coherence - drop your focus on lower energies and envision positive change – live it, feel it, be it. Amplify feelings of love and light and drop into the heart space, so to tune in and match the vibration of your heart – allowing all you say, do, think and feel to come from this place. Choosing forgiveness and gratitude on a daily basis is very beneficial to this process.
